The JN Maragia Foundation spent International Literacy Day at Oriang’i and Rianyapara Primary Schools. A reader’s handover event guided the day, as under it’s thematic area-Education, the Foundation strongly believes that a child who reads will automatically become an adult that thinks. This year’s theme which was _Promoting literacy for a world in transition:

Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies_ is a clarion call to everyone to champion Literacy as the World is constantly evolving, and we need to move forward together! This is possible if ALL have the ability to acquire, and retain knowledge, abilities, values and skills needed to live in, develop and support a sustainable, peaceful society. We thank the Almighty God, our benefactors, the Board and leadership at both sites, teachers, parents and the community at large. Special mention goes to the volunteers at the JN Maragia Foundation, whose support to me, and the Foundation has never/will never go unnoticed. May the Almighty Bless You ALL. JN Maragia, Foundation’s President.
