International Literacy Day 2022

Readers Hand Over Event Ebate Primary School 8th September 2022

International Literacy Day (ILD) is observed on 8th September annually. The aim of this celebration is to raise awareness of the value of literacy for individuals, communities and societies. This need aims to ensure that cultures attain the highest standards of literacy for her people. This year’s theme is “Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces”.

In our own small but passionate way we thought it best to try and transform the literacy learning space at Ebate Primary School through this story books handover event. We urge all of you to take this very humble donation, as an appeal and assurance that:

  • Our hearts are with your school, and we wish you well.
  • Our hearts are with you teachers, and the school administration, as you work tirelessly to sharpen minds of our younger brothers and sisters.
  • Our hearts are with you pupils as you attain the highest standards of literacy all towards the future that you hope for!

READ BECAUSE………

  1. Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers.
  2. Books were my pass to personal freedom.

Asanteni Sana. May the Almighty Bless You Abundantly.
